    Good afternoon JR,

    Yes, having your HMI button change an internal tag value in the PLC, and then using that internal tag in your PLC Code is the best method as it keeps the PLC in control.

    PS – I hope to add some new lessons to PVP Basics in 2019 that will go into this in more depth, even though it's really a PLC topic.

    I also plan to add a couple of PVP lessons to my PAC and PLC courses in 2019 as well, like I did with the PV800 and Nano Basics.
