Requirements
Requirements to complete optional exercises or follow along:
Students who wish to complete optional exercises, or follow along with the instructor as he programs, will need the following:
- An internet connection to download the free CCW programming software from Rockwell's website
- Any Micro800 Controller and compatible programming cable (most use USB or Ethernet)
- Note: The Micro810 requires an optional USB adapter to be programed with CCW
- A Windows PC compatible with the above software (see below) and controller (USB and/or Ethernet port)
- Any Input (push buttons, switches, etc) or Output (pilot lights, relays, etc) devices the student would like to use with their Micro800
- NOTE: While the course covers how to find I/O wiring diagrams, it does not include lessons on basic electricity or wiring I/O devices
Note: Currently, Rockwell states their free CCW programming software supports these Windows versions:
- Windows 7 Pro (untested on Home edition)
- Windows 8 Pro (untested on Home edition)
- Windows 10 Pro (untested on Home edition)
