Hi Shawn,
After going online using FTV Linx, I assigned a short cut to 1769-l35E/A, created a Runtime/Target and downloaded it to the PVP7 Performance for testing.
The person on the field said we still having “No communication” error.
Not sure what to do next at this point, I would think by assigning to the available processor online would surely work. -

Shawn,
Thanks and sorry I did not make myself clear, 1734 AENTR Ethernet/IP adapter, was not in the “Add Device Selection list”
However, I went online today, browsed the network in FTV as you showed in a video of this lesson and created a shortcut for 1769-L35E/A .
Waiting for the right time to replace the PVP6 and test. -

Hi Shawn,
Thanks and basically I am having communication message after transferring an application to a PVP7 to replace a PVP6.

Hi Shawn,
In the Communication Setup, when adding devices to the Runtime(target), do I need to add drivers for that device?
Some devices I want to add are not in the Add Device Selection list.
I think I can go online with the system and browse for these devices but still need EDS files.
Are the EDS files attached to the FTV application .MER file -

Shawn,
Thanks and I tried “blank” and without entering any password still did not work .
Pixel Resolutions are different, transferred to PVP7 and the screens are placed on top right corner.
Only other way I can think of is to go on site, download the converted application to PVP 7 and compare every screen.Wondering if compare future in…[Read more]

Thank You Shawn,
I am facing a challenge:

Hi Shawn,
I have SLC 5/03 with DH485 and RS232 would like to establish communication with PV Pus 6.
I am using USB-1747-CP3 to go online with the controller, no issues,
Can’t get connected to the PVP 6 through Factory View Studio.
Is there some type of communication adapter I should use? -

Hi Shawn,
I there any reason to organize routines in different folders?
It seems like routines in a folder cannot call routines in another folder. -
